Lunch in RM: Conversation 1, Food 0

I reinforced my firm belief that great company can overwhelm a bad meal today at lunch in Rocky Mount. I ate with budding novelist (and long-time editorial writer) Dan Radmacher and veteran author Keith Ferrell (who's been on the NYTimes Bestseller list in the past few months) and the food was simply awful from my perspective.

But the conversation--books, politics and other sundries--was sparkling. Good to see both guys, too.
