Laura Landro, a columnist with the Wall Street Journal, has cited (here) Roanoker John Anderson's book Stand By Her as one her Best of 2009 selections. Anderson's book presents methods to help support cancer patients in the family. Four women in his life (wife, mother, sister, mother's best friend) all had cancer and the book is based on his experiences with them.
John will be among the teachers at this year's Roanoke Regional Writers Conference Jan. 22-23 at Hollins University. You can get more information and register here. John, with his wife Sharon Rappaport, own The Farm, a public relations and advertising agency in Roanoke.
