Popular New Comic Amy Schumer Coming to Roanoke College

Those of you complaining because Roanoke never attracts any good national comedians can shut up now. Amy Schumer will be at Roanoke College Saturday, Nov. 12 at 8 p.m. (Colket Center, Workmann Ballroom) and tickets are a measly $5 a head.

Amy Schumer is one of the hottest new comic entertainers on the tour. You might know her from the Roast of Charlie Sheenor as a finalist on “Last Comic Standing.” She recently released “Cutting” on Comedy Central Records, following her spring 2010 Comedy Central Presents stand-up special. She filmed a movie with Steve Carell, “Seeking a Friend for the End of the World,” and hadseveral TV roles, including a part in the upcoming season of Adult Swim’s mocumentary series “Delocated.”
