More on Maureen: This Time It's Dental Work

Maureen's smile getting a lot of attention (and free dental work)
The Washington Post is reporting (here) that Virginia First Lady Maureen McDonnell, already being investigated for receiving questionable free gifts, got free cosmetic dental work from a Richmond area dentist.

The dentist is with the large Richmond area practice owned by W. Baxter Perkinson Jr., whom the governor appointed to the VCU Board of Visitors and who had a $20 million building named after him at the university. The free work "would expand the number of gifts that the first family has received and add a new name to what has been a short list of benefactors. It also would fit a pattern of items given to Maureen McDonnell — including designer clothing and accessories — that appear to have been aimed at polishing her image as first lady," according to the story.

Investigators are also looking into gifts from Republican Delegate David Ramadan, a jewler from Loudoun County. Most of the previous attention had been to Jonnie R. Williams, who seems to be up to his starched collar in this affair.
