Weather Advisory: How Cold Is It?

My back door at 8 a.m.

Scratching front door ice.

How cold is it? 8 degrees.

The National Weather Service tells me it's 2 degrees at Roanoke Regional Airport at 8 a.m., but my thermometer relays details of a
heat wave on my back porch. It's 8 degrees and climbing. I live a mile from the airport. Thank god for these micro climates, else we should be cold.

Looks like the temp may make it up into the teens today with wind chills reminiscent of being long dead.

Like so many of you, I am not happy with weather that began in the Arctic Circle and would prefer something from, say, Cozumel. Soldier on, good people, and help those who have nothing if you can.
