Today's Quote: Just How Much Wealth Is Enough?

In the shadow of excessive wealth, extraordinary poverty.
"This massive concentration of economic resources in the hands of fewer people presents a significant threat to inclusive political and economic systems. Instead of moving forward together, people are increasingly separated by economic and political power, inevitably heightening social tensions and increasing the risk of societal breakdown."

--Story on HuffingtonPost today (here) stating that the 85 richest people in the world are wealthier than half the population of the world. Republicans, who strongly support that kind of obscene wealth, will say this report is stirring up trouble and causing "class warfare." Let us hope they are right--for once. An all-out war on the wealthy could be a productive thing.
