These are football photos from my junior and senior years in high school. I was posing by throwing the ball, but the photographer was a bit slow on the uptake and in the inset photo (1962 season) I'd already followed through. In the bigger pix (1963 season), the ball's behind my head and my head is out of focus.
Where they got the photographer, I don't know, but this was small-town America and you took what you could find, I suspect. I do know that young boys practice for hours in front of a mirror for the moment of the action shot and when it turns out like these--permanently--nobody's happy.
Still, they're good for a laugh.
