Rumor Mill: Whole Foods to Roanoke's Ukrops Store?

I have absolutely no idea at the truth in the rumor, but the chatter is alive and well on the 'net:

Whole Foods, says the rumor, will locate in the former Ukrops store on Franklin Road in Roanoke, a building that was constructed--in a flood zone--specifically for Ukrops.

Good, bad, indifferent opinions abound and some worry that the threat would be greatest to the Roanoke Natural Foods Co-op. I doubt that. The customers there define "loyal." Could be an interesting addition to the mix, though.
