Today, your governor (who has about a 60+ percent approval rating, will sign bills making it harder for poor people (presumably Democrats) to vote and another punishing women who want abortions by requiring them to have totally unnecessary and harassing ultrasound scans.
Remember this when election day comes again. These people hate women and the poor. They hate them. Absolutely no question about that, based upon their actions.
I totally agree. I am a proud and true Democrat who says what I think, but am not an activist by any stretch of the imagination...I am truly offended at the systemic stripping of women's rights in Virginia and all over the country.
ReplyDeleteI have (since I became aware of the abortion issue as a teenager-ish aged girl) been mystified at why women allow women to have opinions and make laws stating what we can and cannot do with our bodies.
Maybe it's time you became an activist. The time for being passive and allowing these outrages is over. There is much to be done and now is the time to begin. If you have a daughter, bring her along. It's her fight, too.
