Elmwood Park in downtown Roanoke has the first blush of spring in its tulip trees.

Lunchtime on Roanoke City Market today afforded the above view (and the one at the right if you got close enough or had a camera with a macro lens).

Two weeks ago, my grandgirl and I were sledding on the hill beside Memorial Bridge. Wednesday, my buddy Rhonda and I plan to break out our kayaks and hit the water at Carvins Cove. Strange winter (and it still is, if you'll look at the calendar).
