He's Not a Racist, but Obama Is a Monkey

A Renaissance Man named Curtis Caldwell over in Catawba who wants more than just about anything to get rid of President Obama, says, no, he's no racist, despite the depiction of Obama as a monkey. He says that "black people who know me know I'm not that." He didn't name any black people who know him.

You'll note that a Morgan Griffith sign is in this guy's yard along with other Republican endorsements.

As Elizabeth Harrington's report (here) on this lovely guy is winding down, she asks him what he'd do if Obama is re-elected--as expected--and he said he'd fly the American flag upside down (as I did during the Bush Admin). The camera panned to the flag and one had to note that it was not one flag, but two. The lower flag was the Stars and Bars of the Confederacy.

Curtis is not a racist. The Civil War was not about slavery; it was about States' rights. Right Curtis.

(There are a lot of Obama-monkey references out there--the photo above, for example is from a demcoraticunderground.com story on a right-wing radio host in Arizona--and all of them I could find were from Republicans. But not all Republicans are  racist. It's just that racists tend to be Republican.)

  1. Your headline reminds me of Michael Kaine in Austin Powers: Goldmember "There are only two things I can't stand in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures... and the Dutch."

I could see Curtis saying, "There's only 2 things I can't stand, black people and racists."
