Quote of the Day: Worst of the Worst

Sen. Olympia Snowe is the last of a nearly extinct breed, whose descriptor has become an oxymoron: "moderate Republican." She also has a lot of good sense.

Today she is quoted by the Associated Press as saying: “I’m embarrassed by all of us. I’ve never seen a worse Congress in my whole political life.’’

That is something of an understatement, but Sen. Snowe is not given to verbal flourishes.
