My young friend Elizabeth Markham, an artist and a writer, drew this pencil rendering of my little stucco Cape Cod in North Roanoke as spring was springing.
The grass was just coming full and the weeping cherry trees had not yet fully bloomed. In fact, the azaleas at the front of the house had not yet shown signs that the winter damaged them beyond repair. It was a tranquil setting and I like it a lot.
Elizabeth is taking commissions for this type of work for those interested. Get in touch with me and I'll introduce you. She is a perfectly delightful young woman.
