A Few Fax About Your Tax, Bill

Couple of interesting findings from a new poll on America's taxes, as we prepare to fork over on Tax Day:
  • Most people say their taxes are fair (54 percent of them).
  •
  • Most people would rather cut services than raise taxes to balance the budget (62 percent).
  • Federal tax receipts are at their lowest level in 60 years when measured as a share of the economy.
  •
  • Those younger than 30 and older than 65 are most likely to say taxes are fair.
  • Eighty-five percent of individuals get tax refunds this year, averaging $3,000. (Forty-five percent of those people plan to invest the money.)

All this comes from an Associated Press-GfK poll, here.
