A new poll by NBC and the Wall Street Journal has found that 12 percent of Americans approve of the job Congress is doing, which demonstrates beyond a reasonable doubt that at least one in eight Americans should be institutionalized.
The disapproval rating of Congress was a much more reasonable 83 percent, though I think that's probably 17 percent lower than it should be and I'm not sure the 83 percent is a record. We need a record here because this may be the worst Congress in history--mostly because of Republican House of Representatives members' attempts to shut down our government, cut services to Americans,de-fund education, trash the environment, make rich people filthy rich, imperil the national security and punish poor people for being poor.
I find it also revealing that nearly six in 10 Americans (57 percent) would replace every member of Congress. All of them.
