Numerical oddity: 11/12/13, Today's Date

My friend Betsy Gehman, who takes note of these things, tells me that today's date--11/12/13--is the next-to-last time in the 21st Century that we will have consecutive numbers like that on our checks.

The final one will come next year on December 13, 2014, or 12/13/14.

We've already had the repeat dates (01/01/01-12/12/12) and are finished with them for a while, as well.

It's been lovely, but in one more year, you can wave goodbye to all that and put your focus on other important phenomena.
