When GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney criticized candidate John Huntsman last night for serving his country by being ambassador to China under a Democratic president (Obama), Huntsman retorted thusly:
"This nation is divided because of attitudes like that ... The American people are tired of the partisan division. They have had enough. There is no trust left among the American people and the institutions of power and among the American people and their elected officials."
The New Hampshire crowd applauded Huntsman. There is some question whether he would get that reception in South Carolina or one of the other thoroughly backward, highly-partisan states.
