Here's the story. According to this report, "the family farmers are fighting for the right to keep a portion of the world food supply organic—and preemptively protecting themselves from accusations of stealing genetically modified seeds that drift on to their pristine crop fields." Monsanto has been raping its neighbors with lawsuits that say those farmers "steal" its product when they do no such thing, but the power of this giant is so extensive (and its ownership of Congress so complete) that it simply doesn't win there or in the courts.
This is exactly the kind of company those of us who want to eliminate corporations in the U.S. point to when we say "corruption."
