Spencer Bachus (right), the Republican Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, had this to say recently: “In Washington, the view is that the banks are to be regulated, and my view is that Washington and the regulators are there to serve the banks.”Bachus is taking a close look at Elizabeth Warren's (yaaaaaay!) Consumer Financial Protection Bureau instead of examining the organizations that fomented the mess we're living in today. The CFPB has bought no congressmen to date.
