The Roanoke River Greenway bridge on the Vinton spur is closed for construction ...

... but there are ways around it.

A little hike on the Vinton spur of the Roanoke River Greenway this morning brought up this interesting confrontation:

ROAD CLOSED TO THROUGH TRAFFIC

I assumed that didn't mean me and as I continued walking, several bikers deduced it didn't mean them, either.

The question arises, however: What's going on? A new entrance, maybe?
