Now Here's a House for You

I hesitate to do what I'm getting ready to do, but Scott Martin's my pal and I'm going ahead with it, so if you don't want to read about a house for sale, go to the next thing you want to do.

Scott, who was the primary economic development guy in Franklin until just recently when he took a job in Kentucky, doing pretty much the same outdorsy stuff he was doing here, has a marvy house for sale out in the woods. Here's his description:

"If you know of anyone looking to go rural, but doesn’t want to give up the convenience of accessible health care, shopping, and city services, forward our house to them. This is a totally kewl home. Frankly, the house alone is what kept us in Franklin County for a number of years. 11 acres comes with the house and it’s entirely surrounded by another 200 acres of mature oak/hickory forestland. Tons of wildlife and you feel like you are way out in the country, but it’s less than 5 minutes from Kroger, and Carilion Franklin Memorial. 20 minutes to Roanoke."

Look at the photo. It's a pretty place. It costs 285 Large and it's on Redbud Hill Road. It's 3,000 square feet and sits on nearly 11 acres.
