Sharyn McCrumb Headlines Next Workshop
OK, lovely writing people, we're getting to the real nuts and bolts of this writing lesson now. Sharyn McCrumb is teaching the next class at Center in the Square in the Arts Council of the Blue Ridge's monthly Writers Workshop Series Nov. 17, 7-8:30 p.m.. This one's serious because Sharyn's behind the podium and it'll cost you 15 bucks unless you're a member of the Arts Council (which you can join for $30 a year, one of the best deals around).
Sharyn, our resident hotshot national novelist, whose books start out in hardback with runs of about 80,000 and who's been on The NYTimes best selling list, will talk about the process of co-authoring a novel. She'll appear with Adam Edwards, her co-author on Fastor Pastor (Ingalls Publishing Group), which will appear in March. Sharon's lectures are always riveting, especially when she talks about Appalachia and process. This one's process and you'll love it.
To register, e-mail Rhonda Hale at rhale@theartscouncil.org or call her at 540-224-1205. the Web site is www.theartscouncil.org.
