You think these boys in the McDonnell Administration are not racists? The governor's latest proposal to make felons--who have paid their debt to society--write an essay before getting that right back smacks of poll taxes and literacy tests--which the Supreme Court ruled unconstitutional many, many years ago.
Even if this isn't racist--and it is overtly racist--it discriminates against people whose lack of education helped lead them into crime in the first place. It's cruel, stupid and what we've come to expect from the McDonnell Administration. My guess is we've only begun to see the atrocities.
We really don't need to return to the antebellum South where these guys' heads seem to be. Those were not the good old days.
