Honeysuckle and a Frog: Findings on the Trail

You gotta remember this. This are honeysuckle flowers. You pull the flower off, punch off the bottom and pull the stamen through the flower. A small drop of sweet nectar emerges and you gobble it up. Sweet as honey.

Found these plants along the Appalachian Trail in Botetourt County today. Brought back a little piece of my kid-hood.

Below is another rarity: a frog. Virginia is almost out of frogs and this guy--look close, he's there--is one of the few remaining. If you're walking in that area, don't step on him. Be easy to do, I'd say.
