Here's a Pottery Class for the Ambitious Among You

Bea Gutierrez Clements
All you lovely, creative people in Lynchburg, here's a deal for you:

My friend Bea Gutierrez Clements is setting up pottery classes at her downtown Lynchburg studio and the cost for eight sessions is only $200 for adults (limit five students) and $180 for those between 12 and 16 years old. The adult classes (for which some experience is required) will run 9:30-noon and the junior classes will be 4-5 p.m.

She's also doing private pottery lessons, 90 minutes for $45.

You can reach Bea at gealua@hotmail.com or 434-841-8983.

Bea, a native of the Canary Islands (Spanish protectorate) is an agricultural engineer by education and training, but she began working in clay while living in Findhorn, Scotland. She studied at the Penland School of Crafts in Western North Carolina and has taught classes at the Lynchburg Fine Arts Center.

She's also a hot yoga teacher and a woman of immense talent at just about anything she wants to do. Give the class a shot. I think you'll like it.
