The Breeze Was Soft, the Sun Was Warm ...

Susan enjoys the majesty of Tinker Mountain overlooking the Cove.
Cel-e-brate good times, come on!
The green at Carvins Cove is intensifying almost daily and the pollen covering the water gives it a fuzzy look. Late yesterday afternoon, the breeze was soft, the sun warm, the water cool and the paddling just about perfect.

When my friend Susan climbs into her kayak, you can almost see a week's worth of living soften, become liquid and melt away with a satisfied smile.

The soothing effect of the mountains forming a large, cradling bowl, and the splash of a large bass just off the bow of the canoe is tangible and the result immediate.

Today, Mother's Day, I will celebrate Mom with a walk in the woods. She would have liked that.

This pretty young doe was curious about our kayaks.
